Steve Doocy (66 years old) was born on 19th October 1956 in Algona Lowa, United States. Steve comes from a multiracial ethnic group since his grandfather was Irish and his grandmother was Swedish. Doocy’s father is James (Jim) Edward Doocy, and his mother is Joanne Doocy (Nee Sharp). He has 4 siblings: Jenny Doocy, Lisa Doocy, Cathy Curtis, and Ann Walker.

Doocy is husband to Kathy Gerrity, and both are parents to three children: Peter, Sally, and Mary Doocy. Steve Doocy is a professional author and a Fox News anchor. As an author, he has published many cookbooks, such as Happy in a Hurry, which has earned him the New York best seller title. Doocy has been active on the Fox News network for the past 27 years till today.

Early life

Steve Doocy was raised in the construction and sales industry, where his father worked in Kansas in the United States. He was brought up as a Christian in a Roman Catholic church where he serves as a Lector. In 2014, the Native Sons and Daughters of Kansas named Steve Doocy the Distinguished Kansan of the year.

Education

Steve Doocy attended Industry, Russell, and Salina grade schools in Kansas City. He later joined Wakefield for his Junior high school and Clay Centre in Kansas for his high school studies. Doocy graduated from the University of Kansas in Lawrence with a bachelor of Science in Journalism. Steve Doocy became the first student to air a student-operated radio station. The disc jockey for the KJHK was located in Lawrence and aired at 90.7 FM.

Doocy is a famous American news anchor. In the late 1980s, Steve Doocy started as a reporter at television stations in areas such as Des Moines, Wichita, Topeka, and Kansas City. Finally, after working for those stations, he officially became a reporter in Washington, D.C, for a TV station known as WRC-TV. Doocy became the host of the House Party with Steve Doocy’s show which became a big sensation in the 1990s. His skills landed him a co-host seat in Wake-Up America which aired on NBC.

Two years down the line, Steve Doocy quit NBC in 1996. He became a newscast in New York on WCBS-Tv under CBS-TV. In the same year, Doocy joined Fox News, and in 1998, he became the Fox &Friends morning show as a co-host alongside Brian Kilmeade and Ainsley Earhardt.

Doocy contributed to launching the New Year’s Eve show ‘All American New Year’ with hosts such as Megyn Kelly and Bill Hemmer. The program has artists performing as they wait to usher in the new year in the studio. Steve Doocy has won 11 Emmy Awards since he started working at Fox News, and he has been in the network for more than 26 years.
