Later, Faulkner began her television career as an intern at KCOP-TV in Los Angeles, United States of America, handling a few tasks before working as an anchor and reporter in Greenville, North Carolina.

Faulkner worked for WDAF- TV as an anchor between 1992 to 2000. During these eight years, she was harassed and decided to leave the station. Faulkner then joined KSTP- TV based in Minneapolis- Saint Paul. In July 2004, she left and began her journey at Fox.
